About
The Authors
The Kaynors have been married for 53 years. They are the parents of two adult sons and have eight grandchildren. Marilyn has been a pastor’s wife and has taught women’s Bible studies for most of her adult life. They became MemberCare missionaries with Action International Ministries (headquartered in the greater Seattle, Washington area) in 2000.
Through numerous international trips along with connections through Whatsapp phone calls, snail-mail, emails, and facebook messenger, they have come alongside Action missionaries to listen, encourage, learn, serve and speak. They have also made annual trips to Cuba to teach the Bible.
Both have active lives with the Lord Jesus Christ, enjoying nourishment from the Book and His presence. At their local church, they team-teach an adult class for young marrieds and serve on the missions team.
At Keith’s urging, Marilyn took her notes on the lives of Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Leah, Ruth and Esther and compiled them into her book, Women of Faith. She has adapted these studies for this website and will be continuing to write new articles.
Keith has written several books, heavily salted with Bible biography, a passion for which was ignited by his-father-in-law.

- Job Experiences God
- Warrior, Wounded, Wisdom (three phases of a man’s life)

Helping others
Beginning in April, 2000, God has allowed us to see some of what He is doing in the world. That’s when we joined Action International Ministries (based in greater Seattle) and when our missionary education officially began. We serve in MemberCare, which is a coming along side missionaries; walking with them through their ups and downs. Being Grandma and Grandpa. After 19 international trips and an annual Bible-teaching trip to Cuba, we have learned a lot.
Asian Action missionary pastors gathered for a conference near Kathmandu, Nepal, November, 2022. Keith so enjoyed sharing his book Warrior, Wounded, Wisdom with them. We were able to provide a copy to everyone.
Right in the shadow of the American naval base in Guantanamo, Cuba, these young Cubans are planting Bible-believing churches. Dr. Mike Hixson is in the background in his green Michigan State University tee shirt.
The Ticuna Indians of the Andes in Peru are a colorful people. Trying to help her went from my English to the young woman next to me who spoke both English and Spanish to the Ticuna woman, and then reverse that to get back to me.
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
